Education

Short Biography

Jorge Simão completed his graduate, masters, and Ph.D. degree in computer science and engineering at the Faculty of Sciences and Technology, of the New University of Lisbon (FCT/UNL).  His research interests include studying aspects of human (social) behavior  at the neuropsychological, behavior, and societal level, and connecting the three levels within a bio-computational and evolutionary framework. He is also interested in biologically informed models of autonomous agents.

Curriculum Vitae:

Current Research Interests

My research interests include studying aspects of human (social) behavior  at the neuro-psychological, behavior, and societal level, and connecting the three levels within a bio-computational and  evolutionary framework. I'm also interested in biologically informed models of autonomous agents. My area of research can thus be considered at the interception of Situated Artificial Intelligence, Cognitive Science, Computational Social Science, and Evolutionary Psychology. Below is a list of topics:

Autonoumous Agents and Situated Cognition:

Computational social science and evolutionary psychology:

NOTE: Many of the electronic versions are not exact duplicates of the original published versions—the text and figures are the same, but because they may differ in format and page-numbering, please refer to the original published versions for correct page numbers when quoting. Some of the PDF files have bad quality, if possible use the original postscript file.
