This is the first issue of EPIA newsletter, which intends to complement the conference website in informing the scientific community about the event. Please distribute it.

Following the advice of some members of the Advisory Committee, the co-chairs of the conference have decided to extend the maximum number of pages to 12 for full papers. This also applies to the workshop full papers.

This site is specially devoted to the EKDB&W 2005 - Workshop on Extraction of Knowledge from Databases and Warehouses which is a part of Part of 12th Portuguese Conference on Artificial Intelligence - EPIA 2005.
