Local Information Conference Rectorate (coordinates: N 38 44.031, W 9 09.611) The CP 2009 conference takes place in Lisbon, the capital of Portugal (European Union), at the Rectorate of the New University of Lisbon, located in Campus de Campolide, 1099-085 LISBOA (surrounding streets: Rua da Mesquita and Travessa de Estevão Pinto). You may check whether you need it in (e.g.) MediaVisa.net. If you do need it, please make sure you apply for it well in advance before your departure. Requirements and procedures may also be consulted in unofficial sites such as SchengenVisa.cc or EuroVisa.info. In the Schengen area you may travel freely between member countries. Lisbon airport (code: LIS, see guide) is located inside (north) of Lisbon. From there you can easily reach the city center or the conference site (not far from the center) by taxi for about 10 €, in 20 minutes or so (depending on traffic hours).
